We got to work in small groups to create stop motion videos with a grade 3 class in Marysville. We were split in to 5 groups and had 3-4 elementary students in each group. We used the Zing studio app on iPads and the students were clearly comfortable with the digital platform. We were given a sheet to fill out to compose a basic outline of a story, who the characters would be, and what the setting, background and props would be. The students’ imaginations were in high gear as they thought of a beginning, middle and end to a story. They worked together and communicated clearly what they thought should happen in the story.
